Today we headed off to Kensington Palace/Gardens. Warmer day than usual in London, so I was a bit unprepared wearing my jeans. Not very warm, in comparison to back home, but really, ever since June Gloom happened, my body’s been outta wack and I can’t handle the warmer temps… :[
BUT ANYWAY.
The gardens were really beautiful, flowers all in bloom, very peaceful and quaint. Inside the palace was a really interesting art exhibit. It featured 7 princesses who had lived there and made differently-themed rooms based on their lives and history. It was really really beautiful and interesting. Sort of a modern-sculpture exhibit, but I learned a lot of cool history. They had poems in each room that were a mix of emotions with history and…I really liked em. Ahhhh I wish I could explain more, and I did manage to take a few pictures before they noticed, so I’ll put one or two up so you’ll know what I’m talking about. It was called “The Enchanted Palace”, so look it up if you can!!
Then, we visited the Diana Memorial Fountain. Its funny because they say to enjoy it and dip your feet it, but over the years its practically a mini play-pool for all the kids and anyone who wants to go in. Pictures of that to come.
We started getting hungry, so per my mom’s suggestion we set out to find a place to enjoy some tea-time.
And. Oh. My. God. Did we have tea time.
We had tea in Harrods of all places, and OMG IT WAS SO FANCY. FANCY WITH A CAPITAL F. SO FREAKING FANCY. (Pictures to show, DEF!) We had tiered plates brought out with all sorts of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream/jam/rose petal jelly, and nice yummy desserts. Oh, and of course tea! I had myself a nice Jasmine tea, and some Rosé champagne, because I needed to. I NEEDED TO.
Ended today deliciously, and I’m STILL full. Might head to a pub in a bit to have an end-of-the-day beer if I wanna, but I can still feel the food. Omg. Kind of expensive, but how often do you go to Harrods? Gotta live fancy.
Okay enough of me spouting fanciness. Did I mention a lady started singing opera in the Egyptian escalator hall? My god, Harrods, THERE IS NEVER A “TOO FANCY” FOR YOU.

An example of the art pieces in “The Enchanted Palace” exhibit at Kensington Palace, about the princesses who resided there. Very intriguing and beautiful. Wish I could’ve taken more pictures!!
